Jesus the Messiah is Lord

 

Acts 2:36

36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

 

2 Corinthians 4:5

For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.

 

Colossians 3:24

24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.

 

“Jesus is Lord” is the basic Christian statement of faith

Romans 10:9

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

 

Acts 11:20; 16:31; 20:21

11:20 But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus.

 

16:31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

 

20:21 testifying to Jews, and also to Greeks, repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

 

1Corinthians 12:3

Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

 

2 Corinthians 4:5

Philippians 2:10-11

Jesus is Lord because of the resurrection

Romans 1:4

and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

 

Acts 4:33

33 And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.

 

Romans 4:24

24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

 

Hebrews 13:20

20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

 

Lord is a natural title for the risen Christ

Luke 24:34

34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”

 

Acts 1:21

21 “Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

 

Acts 7:59

59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

 

1 Corinthians 1:9

1 Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord?

 

1Thessalonians 5:1

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

 

Revelation 4:11     11 “You are worthy, O Lord,

To receive glory and honor and power;

For You created all things,

And by Your will they exist and were created.”

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.

 

Prayer:  Father in heaven, hallowed is Thy Name.  I praise You for Your Son and the Holy Spirit. I praise You for Your grace in sending us Your wisdom about “Jesus the Messiah is Lord.” I praise You for Your caring, Your loving kindness, and Your generosity.  Only Your graciousness and love could forgive the sins of mankind and still allow him to become a Son or daughter of Yours. Please bless those who have read this article for they too seek Your righteous truth, love, wisdom and understanding.

May God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and Christianity be our guiding lights, our safety nets and our inspiration for loving happiness in all of Your kingdom. Father into your hands I commend my spirit. Not my will, but yours be done. Please come Lord Jesus.
