The head of the church
Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:15, 5:22-23
1:22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head
5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
The Chief Shepherd
1 Peter 5:4
4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
6‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’ ”
2“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
1 Peter 2:25
25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
John 1:38, 1:49, 20:16
1:38 Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?”
1:49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”
20:16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!”
She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
Hearts can be renewed by Jesus. Christ can make a heart strong. God can create a new clean heart. The Lord can cleanse the heart and renew its spirit.
God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?
