The Holy Spirit is identified with the person and activity of the Godhead

“Holy Spirit” and “God” are used interchangeably

Acts 5:3-4 (NKJV)

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NKJV)

16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

The Spirit is called “Lord”

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 )NKJV)

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

It is possible to blaspheme the Spirit

Matthew 12:32 (NKJV)

32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

Mark 3:29 (NKJV)

29 but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation

(Please pay close attention to the above two passages-and never blasphemes the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of God)

Luke 12:10 (NKJV)

10 “And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.

In believers’ lives

1 Peter 1:1-2 (NKJV)

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ:

Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

The bible Knowledge Commentary (Part of 1:2): The sanctifying work of the Spirit has set these chosen ones apart for service, putting God’s choice and purpose into effect. The result of the Spirit’s work is obedience … and sprinkling by His blood. “Obedience” (hypakoēn, from hypakouō, “to hear under, to hearken”) is man’s responsibility to be submissive to God’s Word (cf. Ex. 24:7; Rom. 1:5; 15:18; 16:26). One living in obedience is constantly being cleansed with Christ’s blood and is thus “set apart” from the world (cf. 1 John 1:7, 9). The blood sprinkling is redolent of the Old Testament priestly work at the tabernacle (Lev. 7:14; 14:7, 16, 51; 16:14–15; cf. Heb. 9:13; 12:24), which required obedience on the part of the offerers. However, the only time people were sprinkled with blood was at the inauguration of the Mosaic Covenant (Ex. 24:8).

God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are spiritual warriors who fight wickedness, rebelliousness and laziness by teaching the truth of God’s Word and showing goodness, graciousness and love.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.
