God’s Compassion is Essential to Believers’ Well-Being

Psalm 119:77 (NKJV)

77  Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live;

For Your law is my delight.

Psalm 77:8–9 (NKJV)

8   Has His mercy ceased forever?

Has His promise failed forevermore?

9   Has God forgotten to be gracious?

Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies?

Commentary:   77:7–9. Asaph was perplexed because he seemed to be abandoned by the Lord. He wondered if God had cast Israel off, by discontinuing His favor love (ese, “loyal love”), and promise and by withholding His mercy and compassion because of His anger.

Apparently, then, the nation was in distress. God had not answered their prayers, which greatly troubled the psalmist’s soul.

(Note: This shows that God does have compassion and the people expected it)

Isaiah 63:15 (NKJV)

A Prayer of Penitence

15  Look down from heaven,

And see from Your habitation, holy and glorious.

Where are Your zeal and Your strength,

The yearning of Your heart and Your mercies toward me?

Are they restrained?

There is nothing to compare with the richness of God’s love, mercy, wisdom and goodness towards His children. Amen.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.
