Water

Everything in the sea will die. God divided the sea for Moses. Jesus turned water to wine. Jesus walked on water. Jesus stood by as Moses tapped on the rock and water came out.

 

Everything in the sea will die

Revelation 16:3    ³ Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.

 

God divided the sea for Moses

Exodus 14:21-22    ²¹ Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. ²² So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

 

Jesus turned water to wine

John 1:2-11   Christ Changes Water to Wine

¹ On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. ² Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. ³ And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”

⁴ Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”

⁵ His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

⁶ Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. ⁷ Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. ⁸ And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. ⁹ When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. ¹⁰ And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”

The Disciples Believe

¹¹ This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

 

Jesus walked on water

Matthew 14:25    ²⁵ Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.

 

Water from the rock

Exodus 17:6     ⁶  Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.”

And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

 

Numbers 20:11  ¹¹ Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.

 

Figurative

 Drink deeply from fountain of salvation

Isaiah 12:3    ³   Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation.

 

Floodwaters up to neck

Psalm 69:1    ¹ Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck.

 

God is with you through deep waters

2 Samuel 22:17    ¹⁷ “He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters.

 

Let the thirsty ones come

Revelation 22:17    ¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

 

Living waters from Jesus

John 4:10, 14    ¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

¹¹ The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? ¹² Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”

¹³ Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, ¹⁴ but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

John 7:37-38   Christ Reveals the “Living Water”

³⁷ On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

  ³⁸ He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

 

Springs of water of life

Revelation 21:6    ⁶ And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

 

Drink deeply from fountain of salvation. David in his psalm 69:1 asked the Lord to save him, for he had floodwaters up to his neck. God is with you through deep waters. Let the thirsty ones come. Living water from Jesus. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

 

God in His mercy does not give us what at we do deserve but God in His grace gives us what we don’t deserve.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.

 

Prayer:   Father in heaven, I praise You for Your Son and the Holy Spirit. I praise You for Your grace in sending us Your wisdom about “Water.”  Please bless those who have read this article for they too are seeking Your truth, love, wisdom and understanding.

May God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and Christianity be our guiding lights, our safety nets and our inspiration for loving happiness in all of Your kingdom. Father into your hands I commend my spirit. Not my will, but yours be done. Please come Lord Jesus.
