Seventy

Seventy of Israel’s elder’s were summoned to the mountain and then the Lord came down in the cloud, and spoke to Moses, and took of the Spirit that was upon him, and placed the same upon the seventy elders; and it happened, when the Spirit rested upon them, that they prophesied, although they never did so again. (Note: this was just before the Lord gave Moses the Tablets of Stone)

Then after the time of several kings had passed the Jews were sent to Babylon for seventy years. After seventy years of captivity had been completed in Babylon the Lord said He would punish the king of Babylon and the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, and I will make it a perpetual desolation.
