6 Reasons Why People Are Lost and in Need of Salvation

There may be other reasons but this is what God’s inerrant Bible has to say:

 

1.     They are lost because of their rejection Of biblical revelation.	Acts 14:17 – 17 Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”   Ps. 19:1 – 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.   Rom. 1:19–20 – 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
2.     They are lost because of disobeying their own conscience.	Rom. 2:14–16 – 14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) 16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
3.     They are lost because of their relationship to the world.	Eph. 2:2 – 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,   James 4:4 – 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.   1 John 2:15–17 – 15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.   1 John 5:19 – 19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
4.     They are lost because of their relationship to Satan.	John 8:42–44 – 42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.   John 12:31 – 31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.   2 Cor. 4:4 – 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.   Col. 1:13 – 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,   1 John 3:10 – 10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.   1 John 5:19 – 19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
5.     They are lost because of their relationship to sin.	Genesis 2:17 – 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Job 1 Job 14:4 – 4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?  No one!   Jer. 17:19 – 19 Thus the Lord said to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;   Romans 5:12 – 12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—   Romans 7:14 – 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.   Eph. 4:18 – 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;
6.     They are lost because of their relationship to God.	Eph. 2:12 – 2 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.   1 John 5:12 – 2 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.   Jude 1:19 – 19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

 

 

Hearts can be renewed by Jesus. Christ can make a heart strong. God can create a new clean heart. The Lord can cleanse the heart and renew its spirit.

Please remember that if we have any hope in our Lord and Savior who gave us “everything” we must continually be faithful to the Lord, first. Remember, God loved us first, even before He created us.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Prayer:   Father in heaven, I praise You for Your Son and the Holy Spirit. I praise You for Your grace in sending us Your  wisdom about “Salvation.”  Please bless all those who have read this article for they too are seeking Your righteous truth, love, wisdom and understanding.

May God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and Christianity be our guiding lights, our safety nets and our inspiration for loving happiness in all of Your kingdom. Father into your hands I commend my spirit. Not my will, but Yours be done. Please come Lord Jesus.
