Perjury

You could say Perjury is when a corrupt witness scorns justice  or just simply tells a lie. The bible says you shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another or pass along a false report to be an unrighteous witness.

Corrupt witness

Proverbs 19:28    28  A disreputable witness scorns justice, And the mouth of the wicked devours iniquity.

Do not lie

Leviticus 19:11    11 ‘You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another.

Do not pass along false reports

Exodus 23:1    1 “You shall not circulate a false report. Do not put your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

Do not testify falsely

Exodus 20:16    16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Deuteronomy 5:20    20 ‘You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

False accusations

Acts 6:11    11 Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

False witness is a traitor

Proverbs 14:25    25 A true witness delivers souls, But a deceitful witness speaks lies.

False witness tells lies

Proverbs 12:17    17 He who speaks truth declares righteousness, But a false witness, deceit.

Peter commits perjury

Mark 14:71-72    71 Then he began to curse and swear, “I do not know this Man of whom you speak!”

72 A second time the rooster crowed. Then Peter called to mind the word that Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” And when he thought about it, he wept.

Do not testify falsely. Do not make false accusations. A false witness is the same as a traitor. A false witness speaks deceit but he who speaks the truth declares righteousness.

One good thing about truth, the Gospel is God’s Truth, tell it and teach it to others and you will please God and build many rewards in heaven.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.

  1. Thanks so much for giving everyone an extremely nice opportunity to read in detail from this blog. It’s usually so pleasurable and packed with a great time for me and my office acquaintances to visit your blog at least three times in a week to study the fresh guides you have. And of course, I am also actually satisfied for the surprising principles you give. Some two tips on this page are definitely the most beneficial we have ever had.
