Avoid foul or abusive language. Avoid perverse talk. Stay away from those with corrupt speech and those who speak perverse things. Do not speak evil of your brother for you judge him when you do. Do not be a judge but a doer of the law.

Romans 3:13, 14    13  “Their throat is an open tomb;

With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;

“The poison of asps is under their lips”;

14 “Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”

 

Ephesians 4:29    29  Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

 

Avoid perverse talk

Proverbs 4:24    24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you.

 

Corrupt speech, wicked men

Proverbs 2:12    12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things,

 

Do not speak evil

James 4:11    11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

 

1 Peter 3:10    10 For “He who would love life

And see good days,

Let him refrain his tongue from evil,

And his lips from speaking deceit.

 

Evil words destructive

Proverbs 11:9    9 The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.

 

Mouths full of cursing, lies, and threats

Psalm 10:7    7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity.

 

Obscene stories and coarse jokes

Ephesians 5:4    neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

 

Wicked speak only what is corrupt

Proverbs 10:23    23 To do evil is like sport to a fool, But a man of understanding has wisdom.

 

Proverbs 15:28    28 The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil.

 

Evil words from the hypocrite destroys his neighbor. His mouth is full of cursing, deceit and oppression and under his tongue is trouble and deceit.

 

Worry not that you know the LORD but rather, make absolutely sure…the LORD knows you. Matthew 7:23.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.

 

Prayer:   Father in heaven, I praise You for Your Son and the Holy Spirit. I praise You for Your grace in sending us Your wisdom about “Obscenity.”  Please bless those who have read this article for they too are seeking Your righteous truth, love, wisdom and understanding.

May God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit and Christianity be our guiding lights, our safety nets and our inspiration for loving happiness in all of Your kingdom. Father into your hands I commend my spirit. Not my will, but Yours be done. Please come Lord Jesus.
