Nepotism is favoritism shown to a relative. Below are three examples of Nepotism.
David appointed nephew commander
2 Samuel 19:13 13 And say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you are not commander of the army before me continually in place of Joab.’ ”
Joseph gave best land to family
Genesis 47:11 11 And Joseph situated his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
Saul’s cousin Abner was appointed commander
1 Samuel 14:50 50 The name of Saul’s wife was Ahinoam the daughter of Ahimaaz. And the name of the commander of his army was Abner the son of Ner, Saul’s uncle.
Nepotism is alive and well today as everyone knows. The bible does not speak of it as being good or bad but it can be hurtful to some.
