Manna is from heaven whether it be in the form of food or God’s Word. While in the desert the Jews complained that there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes.

Bread from heaven

Psalm 78:24    24 Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven.

Numbers 11:7    Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium. The people went about and gathered it, ground it on millstones or beat it in the mortar, cooked it in pans, and made cakes of it; and its taste was like the taste of pastry prepared with oil.

Complaints about manna

Numbers 11:6    but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!”

Food from heaven rained down

Exodus 16:4    Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.

God told Moses that He would rain bread from heaven so the people could go out and gather it and He also said that it would be a test for them to see if they would walk in His law. So it was then and it is today that God feeds us and tests us to see which ones are holy that He may keep them.

I praise You Father for the manna you provide us and all the many things large and small seen and un-seen that you do for us on a continuing basis.

Please remember that if we have any hope in our Lord and Savior who gave us “everything” we must be continually faithful to the Lord, first. Remember, God loved us first, even before He created us.

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the promises of God’s blessings in His time.
