Jealousy

Here is what God’s inerrant and ever truthful bible speaks of about jealousy: It arouses a husband’s fury. Paul told the Corinthians that they were jealous and full of envy, strife and not carnal but behaving like mere men. Wrath is cruel and anger a torrent but who can stand before jealousy?

Arouses husband’s fury

Proverbs 6:34    34 For jealousy is a husband’s fury; Therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

Corinthians jealous

1 Corinthians 3:3    for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

2 Corinthians 12:20     20  For I fear lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you do not wish; lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults;

Destructive nature

Proverbs 27:4    4 Wrath is cruel and anger a torrent, But who is able to stand before jealousy?

God is a jealous (protective) God

Exodus 20:5    you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,

Exodus 34:14    14 (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),

Psalm 78:58    58 For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, And moved Him to jealousy with their carved images.

Mark of the flesh

Galatians 5:19-21   19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Sadducees jealous

Acts 5:17   Imprisoned Apostles Freed

17 Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with indignation,

God is a jealous but protective God. Those who partake of the mark of the flesh which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, etc. will not inherit the kingdom of God. After the imprisoned apostles were freed by the Lord the Sadducees were filled with indignation. So we see how God is jealous over those who seek or pray to another god and Jesus protects us when jealousy causes harm to His flock.

Note: The common denominator in this message is God. All people share God and Jesus for a while. But only believers can share God and Jesus after this life, forever and ever.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the promises of God’s blessings in His time.
