Clean, innocent behavior—-be wise in what is good and simple concerning evil.
The verses below are God’s Word about innocence:
Clean, innocent behavior
Romans 16:19 19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.
Philippians 2:15 15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
Do not punish an innocent man
Exodus 23:7 7 Keep yourself far from a false matter; do not kill the innocent and righteous. For I will not justify the wicked.
Proverbs 17:26 26 Also, to punish the righteous is not good, Nor to strike princes for their uprightness.
God sees no one as innocent
Job 9:2 2 “Truly I know it is so, But how can a man be righteous before God? 3 If one wished to contend with Him, He could not answer Him one time out of a thousand. 4 God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against Him and prospered?
1 Timothy 3:2-4 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence
Pilate, “I am innocent of this man’s blood”
Matthew 27:24 24 When Pilate saw that he could not prevail at all, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, “I am innocent of the blood of this just Person. You see to it.”
Live an innocent lifestyle, blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence. Should a man, woman or parent be able to live this lifestyle, God will certainly be proud of him.
Where there is no sin, there is no wrath, but there will always be faith, hope, love and holiness. Therefore those who have faith, hope, love and holiness will always be found in Jesus’ Book of Life.
God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?
