Unknowing Rebels of God

Yes there are many who unknowingly rebel against God every day. Some possibly are not aware of this and probably do not intend to rebel against God. They may be sinners who do not know about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. But that does not excuse their actions against God. Christians should know when they are rebelling against God. Unbelievers have been encouraged by God through revelation to get to know God. Therefore God has mandated that all saints are to witness to the unknowing or unlearned and any that will listen. For there are many who do not know the power and wisdom of God. There are also those who think God is not alive and give no credence to God. Many people are not against God but simply have not taken the time nor have they considered it important enough to find out about God and the impending timeline they are up against to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

There are those religions that will swear they are doing the right things but do not have a clue as to who God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit really are. They also do not know what God’s capabilities are or what God wants? Either they have been brought up in a particular non-Christian religion or they may have joined one, possibly thinking the God of heaven is behind every religion which is wrong. Some of these religions do know of God, some think of Him differently than what God really is and some just want to use part of His Word to further their agenda whether it may be for the control of others or accumulating money and fame.

We must realize, non-Christian religions are not attempts to find God but a demonstration of rebellion against Him because of their insistence of interjecting their rules, ways, thoughts or interpreting God’s Word in-errantly to suit their needs or wants.  Instead of responding to general revelation in a positive fashion, most heathens voluntarily reject God and seek after false gods or no god at all. Ephesians 4:17–19 says that people do this because of willful “ignorance” and “the blindness of their heart.” Note: they are blind because they do not have God as their Father. Similarly, Romans 1:21–23 teaches that heathens “knew God” but “did not glorify Him as God” and willfully exchanged the glory of God for idols or did not recognize any god.

Therefore, it cannot be denied that the heathen are guilty of sin and deserve punishment. However, in His mercy, it appears that God will judge the heathen according to the degree of information about God that was available to them, the opportunities they had to acquire this knowledge, and how they chose to respond to this knowledge. All people have had the opportunity to know God either through general revelation or through the Christian message. Rejection of either of these revelations will result in damnation. People will be denied entrance into heaven, not because of what they have not heard, but because of what they have read or heard and rejected.

In light of this, it is clear that those who have had the opportunity to hear the gospel message and refused to accept it, or refused to hear it when offered, deserve hell even more than those who never heard it at all. The Bible makes it plain that those who have had the opportunity to hear the gospel message and turned their backs on it will not be saved (John 14:6; 1 John 5:11–13).

Getting the Message Out

The above makes it all the more reason for a Christian to get the message of God out to any and all non-Christians whether they are in a religion or not. The problem is how do we get them the message. We need to figure out a short, ingenious way to get them the message. Most likely the best way would be to become acquaintances with them is to have a sit down conversation with them. It may be that they will allow you to email them some information. It may be best to invite them to church and allow them the experience before educating them. Whatever you decide, do with much humility, and do not make enemies with anyone.

It won’t be easy with some of them. You may have to contact them periodically before getting a response from them or put up with some hostility.

Therefore, I would suggest asking them if they would consider discussing some questions about religion or would like to know more about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Christianity. If they agree then possibly by asking some of the following might be in order:

  1. Are you affiliated with a church or religion?
  2. Then say I am or I am not familiar with that religion could you tell me a little about it?
  3. If they say their religion is not Christian or even if they say it is but you know it is not, then ask them: “How does their religion seek about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.”
  4. You might ask them if their religion has answered the question of when did their religion begin?
  5. Who started their religion?
  6. What does your religion say will happen to you when you die?
  7. Because they might not want to answer too many questions ask them if you could tell them a story about why God through His Son Jesus with the aid of the Holy Spirit created the heavens and the earth or what happens to their soul after they die.

Simplified version of How Things Began

Tell them about our God from heaven we call our Father, Jesus His Son, and the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit from the Father are all Three united as one but act as three separate entities. Tell them that they may think of them as God the Father (President), God the Son (Jesus; Vice-President) and God the Holy Spirit (Asst. V.P. in charge of Affairs.) Explain that God knew that getting involved with creation would subject Him to being around sin and sinners and that He would not be able to maintain His holiness. Explain that God must maintain His holiness if He is to always be truthful. This is one reason He empowered Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  Let them know that God gives orders to Jesus and the Holy Spirit and Jesus gives orders to the Holy Spirit. God told Jesus to create a master plant and then to create  a universe and a place where He could raise His children.  So Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit created everything that was created and sustains it all. That includes mankind,, fish, birds of the air, mammals, insects, etc. Jesus also created food to sustain all His creations. Then He fed mankind God’s Word so they could learn to live righteously and follow God’s laws and rules so they could eventually come to God’s heaven.

Tell them that when they die that their soul will receive a new spiritual body and will  either be sent to God’s heaven or God’s jail commonly known as Hell.

If you can see that the person you are mentoring are still interested tell them about how Jesus needs them to help Him administer things during His 1000 year rule on earth and how God wants a large family to eventually help Him with administering His new heaven for eternity.

Then explain how God, because He is holy and cannot be around sin and sinners gave His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit some of the same power and wisdom as He has so they could do work for Him and create the heavens and the earth and many other things in God’s master plan.

Explain that God needed a place to raise, grow, and educate His children He so loving wants. Explain that He needed a place He could raise, judge, and separate them as to those He wants to keep and bring to His heaven and those He could not keep because they chose not to show any interest in Him and/or they were rebellious towards Him.

Explain that God has given all His children the right to freedom of choice. God will not make any of them choose Him for their God or make them come to His heaven. This has to be solely each individuals decision and this decision must be made before they die or Jesus comes in the clouds for His church (all believers). Also explain that all believers in Jesus Christ are also called the  saints, children of God and the bride of Christ.

At this time it would be assumed that the non-believer may or may not want to hear more. So it would be good to ask if they want to hear more now or at a later time. Either way it would also be appropriate to ask them if they would like to experience the love of the Christian church and if they would like to come on a Sunday of their choice to experience it.

If they want to hear more or ask questions now would be a good time to do so.

You might ask if they are interested in some written material about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Christianity. If they say yes. Then give them a Christian booklet that speaks to some of these same things but in a deeper fashion.

How Does a Person Become a Child of God

First explain that it is always good to learn more about God, Jesus, the Holy spirit and Christianity. At least enough so they may have faith that Jesus will come for all His church (aka: saints or believers) to take them to God’s heaven. Note: the Holy Spirit will make this happen.

Explain that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all God are all powerful and extremely wise beyond that which man can imagine or learn and that they know all things before they happen.

Note that God and the Holy Spirit are never seen while we live on this earth.  Since God and the Holy Spirit and  now Jesus again, are living spiritual beings and we cannot see them while we are in our human nature. Jesus was seen on earth for 33 ½ years when God sent Him by incarnation to earth. Jesus was born of a virgin, He brought God’s New Will (the New Testament) and He started the foundation of the church and said to all who believe in Him that they will be saved and will be ushered into God’s heaven upon their death. Jesus came to teach, heal and start the foundation of the church. Jesus gave His life  so we believers could have a way to be invited to God’s heaven. Jesus is also our advocate before God when we sin.

Now take questions if you have not already done so.

Explain, that after Jesus created the earth that God inspired Prophets to write the Old Testament Books about His rules and commandments and that Jesus was sent to earth later to bring the new way of life as stated in the New Testament. Jesus started the church by gathering His own disciples. Then Jesus died and was raised back into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. Jesus had taught His disciples to continue His teaching and they taught God’s  Word and began new churches in all the lands. So God inspired the writing of the Old Testament through His prophets and Jesus then inspired the writing of the New Testament through His disciples and their aides. It was the Holy Spirit that God and Jesus sent to inspired the prophets and the disciples and their associates to write the 66 books of the Bible over approximately 1800 years. Many of the prophets and disciples did not know what the others had written but nothing they wrote contradicted the others. The words God and Jesus inspired were written first on papyrus and other materials and then later printed on paper in the form of a Bible that we know today. It is from these holy books that we learn how to do many things such as become a child of God, what God wants from us, how to live a life in goodness as any Christian should and many, many other things.

God’s Holy Bible

Explain that there are 66 Books of the Holy Bible. Of all the books that were considered as inspired by God and Jesus, there were 39 Old Testament Books that God inspired and 27 New Testament Books that Jesus inspired. These books were brought before three councils from several nations of mostly Jewish people, that met at the Councils of Nicaea in A.D. 325, Hippo, A.D. 394, and Carthage, A.D. 397 and determined which Books were truly inspired and canonized by God and Jesus. Then after they were recognized as canonized they were put into written form individually. Later the Books of the Bible were bound together in the form of what is now recognized as the Holy Bible. Then 1900 years later the Orthodox Christians still use the 66 God inspired books of the Holy Bible. These Books of the Bible that were selected to become the Holy bible were God’s Word that tells about His rules, moral rules for mankind to live by, commandments, history, historical people, events and a few dates and times of happenings or an era in which they took place, etc. Overall it is a historical book that tells of how God’s children should live in love, in righteousness, in harmony to grow in His Word and become the children He would allow into His heaven to live with Him and Jesus forever.

Some things about God

God is a jealous God. He did not have Jesus create any other living God’s to take away the love and devotion that He so richly deserves.

God’s Word is shown in His inspired Holy Bible and God will not change His mind or allow His Word to be changed or mis-interpreted in any way. It is an abomination to Him to do so.

God loved you before He created you.

God is sovereign and does not depend on any entity for anything.

Neither God nor His Spirit (the Holy Spirit) can be seen but his Spirit is everywhere at once.

God has made many covenants with His people and will keep them all.

God’s adopted children who are all believers in His Son, when they get to His heaven will share in all the inheritance that God has given to His Son Jesus Christ.

Finding God is not difficult. The prophet Jeremiah wrote, “you will seek Me [God] and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jer. 29:13).

End Times

After man’s time on earth, after Jesus has ridded the earth of all rebellion, Satan and Death, Jesus will burn the earth and the heavens. Then He will re-form them new just as they were before sin came into heaven and earth. Then God will bring His New City of Jerusalem to be installed either on earth or suspended just above earth for all the saints and angels to live in for eternity.

God and Jesus will make their New City of Jerusalem Their new headquarters. God will reign and Jesus will sit at His right hand and help Him. All the saints and angels will live in the New City of Jerusalem and be with God and Jesus for eternity.

When God comes with His New City of Jerusalem and it is installed, Jesus will turn over His reign of the heaven and earth to God and eternity will begin.

Through repentance one solidifies the act of saving faith and opens the door to a life of good works. All this together with  faith and repentance leading to good works is what life in the kingdom is all about.

Therefore,  explain that time is definitely running out and anyone who has not turned away from their sinful life, repented and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior is taking a dreadful chance of having to live through the 7 years of Tribulation or upon their death have their soul sent to Hades to the place of Torment. Either way it will be extremely tormenting and those who go through the Tribulation will be subjected to a dictatorship run by one of Satan’s slickest politicians who will place hardship on all who are living at the time. God also will send His woes on all the people during this 7 years. Let these un-knowing rebels know that God is real and His wrath is real and that He will receive them if they will simply repent and accept and believe-in Jesus Christ.

Always keep Jesus in your heart and on your mind.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.
