The use of Astronomy to Determine Dates

Genesis 1:3–5

³ Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. ⁵ God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

 

(Note: In Gen. 1:1 the earth was created. This s the re-creation of the earth and the creation of everything on it. For the earth had been created of old and when Satan and his angels sinned again for some time God stopped the light from coming to earth and covered the earth with water and killed everything on it. Then the six days began at some future point.)

 

Psalm 81:3

³ Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon,

At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.

 

Psalm 104:19

¹⁹ He appointed the moon for seasons;

The sun knows its going down.

 

The use of astronomy to determine dates is fruitful. It established the beginning of life on earth the second time. The trumpet declares the beginning of a solemn feast,  at the beginning of a new and full moon and the moon was appointed for new seasons.

God is testing us every day and has given us the right to make our own choices. Do you know which ones are the right choices in Gods mind?

Fear God, love God, honor God, and trust God with all your heart, mind and soul and you will receive and experience the joy of the promises of God’s blessings in His time.

 

Prayer:   Father, blessed is your Holy name. We praise you for your Son and the Holy Spirit. Human words cannot describe how grateful we are for Your Son and our risen Christ. We praise You for the opportunity to be able to choose Jesus as our Lord and Savior and to be elect children of Yours. We praise you for the laws You have set down to teach us and keep our life in harmony and safe. Please bless those who have read this article for they too are seeking Your righteous truth, love, wisdom and understanding. I pray these brothers and sisters have or will come to realize that Your existence is a treasure of grace and love that You have for all Your elect children.

May God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Christianity be our guiding lights for eternity. Let it be Your will Lord not mine. Please come Lord Jesus.
